This top-quality, 3-bedroom villa with amazing, unobstructed views is offered for rent in Akoudalia, Paphos.

Located between Akoudalia and  Kathikas in a very quiet area the property is in a quiet location and offers magnificent views over the mountains. These views are similar to looking at the patchwork of the countryside as a plane descends prior to landing. That may sound fanciful but anyone smart enough to view this property will see that it is no exaggeration.

This villa has been designed to take full advantage of the Mediterranean lifestyle. Built-in the middle of the plot it is surrounded by a veranda and each of the downstairs rooms has double doors leading directly to this veranda. An added advantage of this is that these doors allow as much sunlight as possible into the property adding to the light and airy atmosphere.

Steps lead to the front door and a short passage leads to the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner.

The superbly equipped kitchen includes top-quality white goods with a Zanussi fridge freezer,  a Zanussi oven and hob and a Sharp washing machine. The worktops are marble and a door leads directly to the veranda.

The delightful dining area includes a table large enough to easily accommodate 6 people and the very generously sized lounge has a large, cream-coloured leather settee, various tables and an authentic log-burning heater surrounded by highly attractive stonework.

The first of the three bedrooms is on this floor. All of the bedrooms are doubles with plenty of wardrobe space and very large en suite walk in shower rooms.

A guest cloakroom completes the rooms on this floor.

The first floor is entirely devoted to the other two bedrooms.

Both of these are most impressive with each having direct access via double doors to a balcony that they share. The beauty of this balcony is that it is south facing, as indeed is the pool and the very large patio, so dedicated sun worshipers can enjoy the constant summer sun all day long.

One can imagine sitting on this patio basking in the sunshine whilst enjoying cereal, orange juice and coffee for breakfast, a  Greek salad at lunchtime and a Gin and Tonic in the evening prior to visiting one of the local tavernas for dinner.

The garden area is split into two levels and includes numerous attractive shrubs and plants including two apple trees and two peach trees. The pool is 8m x 4m with Roman steps which makes access to the pool so much easier. The whole of this area is lit after dark which, with the mountains in the background produces an almost magical effect. Stone pillars add to the character of this whole area.

A smaller patio can be found on the opposite side of the plot for those who want to sit in the shade.

The property also benefits from a pressurized water system and a garden irrigation system. This property has been lovingly maintained, is in excellent condition and really does need to be viewed to be fully appreciated.

Akoudalia lies roughly 15 minutes drive from Polis, the beach and 20 minutes drive from the upmarket fishing marina and crystal clear waters at Latchi in the northwest corner of Cyprus. Local amenites including kiosks and tavernas are 5 minute's drive in either of 2 directions from the villa.

Paphos is home to the island's second international airport and deemed to be the capital of the west. It is a picturesque fishing town which is steeped in history.  It is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite, Goddess of Love, and is also famous for the remains of the Roman Governor's palace which is home to extensive, fine mosaics.

Featuring a picturesque fishing harbour by Paphos Fort, which is lined with open-air cafes, tavernas and boutiques, the town also plays host to a wide variety of restaurants, bars and exclusive shops as well as numerous amenities including supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and bakeries.
